Ep. 118: You’re So Good At Reminding Me Where Pizza Is

Listen to “You’re So Good At Reminding Me Where Pizza Is” on Spreaker.

Welcome to the Unity Concert! We’ve finally made it and my, what a wonderful show. This Parks and Rec episode is chock full of guest appearances, like Ginuwine, Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, Kay Hanley of Letters to Cleo, The Decemberists, Jon Hamm, Johnny Karate, and a whole lot more. And we’re all partying at Tom’s Bistro after the show.

Meanwhile, Leslie is looking for people to take with her to her new job as the head of the Midwest branch of the National Park Service. Ron is disinterested because the government, April hates people and Leslie (but also loves her). Andy briefly agrees after forgetting that he can also get pizza in Pawnee. And of course, Larry is game! The end of this episode also flashes forward three years into the future, which is wild.

Plus, the proper footwear to don if you’re participating on Floor Is Lava, how some people only have one karaoke song they ever sing, and the longevity of the Power Rangers as both a show and video game. Does it also seem like there’s far less Christmas music this year than usual or is it just us?

Also, Joey apologizes to Darkbuster for blanking on your name during the episode. Rock on!

Ep. 111: Somebody Follow Me, I’m Distraught!

Parks n Wrecked Podcast Logo

Listen to “Somebody Follow Me, I'm Distraught!” on Spreaker.

Leslie tries to tear down a wall between Pawnee and Eagleton, only to unleash a swarm of bees that somehow only stings Eagletonians. And Jamm. There’s a lot of fighting going on in this episode, which may or may not inspire Sean’s top five.

Meanwhile, the Unity Concert is starting to come together! Tom and Ben team up to pitch an angel investor on Tom’s Bistro, a new business venture. Oh, and Ron and Diane had a child. He’d appreciate it if you’d keep quiet around him.

Plus, we explore old Kool-Aid and Hawaiian Punch commercials, dive into the Thomas the Tank Engine theme song, chat about the best and worst games on The Price is Right, and get critical of how many fans are watching college football games in person. In fact, we talk a LOT about sports this episode. Apologies if that’s not your jam (or Jamm), but hopefully it’s still great fun.

Ep. 110: Be Ice Cream or Be Nothing

Parks n Wrecked Podcast Logo

Listen to “Be Ice Cream or Be Nothing” on Spreaker.

Leslie and Ben are celebrating their anniversary, but Leslie’s too busy trying to manage a spat between Pawnee and Eagleton. That means Larry is the lucky recipient of all of Ben’s thoughtful gifts, including a couples massage, a horse-drawn carriage, and ballroom dancing lessons.

Meanwhile, April leaves a mean message about Donna on Yelp, Ron takes on veganism and frozen yogurt, and a couple celebrating their 50th anniversary bickers a whole lot. We also get our first glimpse of the Unity Concert! Such exciting times.

Plus, Haleigh is upset at many things, we reminisce about the time Sean guzzled wine during his birthday party and got a bunch of comedians mad at him during another birthday party, and the absurdity of Pokemon battles.

Also, we apologize for the technical difficulties at the beginning of this episode. Technology is real dumb, y’all. Speaking of which, here’s a great article about TikTok that shows how addictive social media is.
