Ep. 108: Peas Be Kind to Others

Parks n Wrecked Podcast Logo

Listen to “Peas Be Kind to Others” on Spreaker.

Hope you’re not too chard-headed this episode because we’re going to the farmers market! There’s an UNCOMFORTABLE amount of chard, including in shot form. Leslie and Ben are in the midst of a government spat with each other, all of Ron’s music is in a rectangle, and Donna and Tom host a whine and cheese club. Peas be kind to others, y’all.

Meanwhile, Andy and April introduce us to the magic of Johnny Karate, and Chris irritates Ann with how on top of everything he is.

Plus, mnemonic devices to remember directions, using huge headphones to block out people from talking or singing, and there’s drama in the Sean and Haleigh’s bowling league.

Finally, Sean had the bright idea to record this episode during a Cowboys game, and his team decided to get themselves down 20-0 while we were recording. But on the plus side, they ended up winning, so Sean got much happier than he was during this episode!

Ep. 86: I’ll Kill ‘Em…Soon As I’m Done With These Birds

Parks n Wrecked Logo - A podcast about Parks and Rec

Listen to “I'll Kill Em… Soon As I'm Done With These Birds” on Spreaker.

This episode hits EXTREMELY close to home – Pawnee is simulating an avian flu pandemic right as we’re living a coronavirus pandemic. And perhaps in a fitting display of the world simply not giving an eff, this episode is also riddled with technical difficulties. But much like Pawnee, we will persevere!

In any case, Leslie is getting Jammed all over the place. She’s stuck with Ann and Chris in a simulation to test the city on their emergency preparedness. Meanwhile, Andy and April are studying for a police exam, and the rest of the gang is trying to round up chairs for the evening’s big gala. Donna found one and has a lead on another. The excitement is palpable.

Ron’s also fielding questions on a talk show, which warrants its own paragraph.

Plus, we’re talking about fire drills, Joey reminisces about his experience working on TV shows in college (and funny news reporter segments in general, like this one or this one). Oh, and he’s hearing things, too, like the word “pigeon.” And we’ve got more things to do during shelter in place! Check ‘em all out and let us know you’re favorites.
